The basic function of the Sales Associate is to sell La-Z-Boy products and services, using and developing all selling and customer service skills trained to meet and exceed company goals. All Sales Associates are responsible for achieving store goals and maintaining the trust and loyalty of all La-Z-Boy customers and team members and providing the highest level of customer service.

• Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission; varies by location)
• After Training Base Pay: $45,864 (salary)
• Commission:
  Unlimited monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales, based on meeting specific sales goals

• Interact with customers professionally and provide the highest level of customer service
• Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services
• Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues promptly
• Attend and participate in company training and store meetings
• Assist in training, coaching, and developing peers on product knowledge and selling process to achieve store sales goals
• Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries
• Follow company procedures and policies, including policies against harassment, attendance, and sales procedures

• High School diploma or GED
• Strong interpersonal skills for communication, building rapport, and influencing
• Vocational or technical training in related field
• Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long periods of time
• Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes

• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred
• Organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Understanding and use of computer technology

• Bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time
• Interaction with customers and co‑workers, focus and concentration
