Position Statement

Responsible for directing, communicating, motivating, organizing, and controlling execution of Riboli family wine company goals through assigned personnel to achieve optimum sales across the Riboli portfolio. Responsible for communicating to the Regional Vice President the status and needs of the District Sales Managers, wholesalers, and trade customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the state of Nevada and oversee Arizona and New Mexico.
  • Manage a Senior District Sales Manager based in Arizona, covering Arizona and New Mexico.
  • Manage the Riboli Family Wine portfolio within designated markets, including distributors and the trade.
  • Execute the depletion, POD, and revenue plan for assigned markets.
  • Develop and motivate District Sales Managers, manage their performance, and focus on selling brands to market potential.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all sales efforts in specified markets.
  • Manage distributors to achieve pricing targets and patterns that support depletions and program periods.
  • Complete all state pricing filings with accuracy and within timelines.
  • Meet the annual depletion, POD, and revenue plan; manage and allocate trade spending and total sales expenses, including field brand budgets, distributor local marketing funds, and other distributor banks.
  • Assess District Sales Manager and distributor performance, addressing poor performance issues.
  • Develop District Sales Managers and wholesalers’ capabilities to adopt and implement the Riboli “Sales Process.”
  • Build monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans by market.
  • Ensure key distributors manage Riboli’s brand strategies.
  • Call on retail, on‑premise, and chain accounts with distributors or District Sales Managers.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of products, the wine industry, competitive brands, and markets.
  • Cultivate cross‑department relationships (sales, marketing, finance, logistics) to carry out brand strategies, adhering to executive directions.
  • Represent Riboli and agency brands in the best and most professional manner.
  • Exercise fiduciary duty regarding budgets, promotional spending, and all financial aspects of the company.
  • Allocate work time: 30 % planning, organizing, directing, and controlling execution; 50 % with managers and the trade; 20 % administrative and follow‑up; and be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
  • Four‑year college degree or equivalent work experience in the beverage, alcohol, or wine industry.
  • Minimum of 7 + years in the beverage alcohol industry with multiple years of sales management experience.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to produce reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills; a professional, personable leader.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other company software.
  • Strong mathematical skills for financial analysis.
  • Multilingual skills (Italian or Spanish) are a plus.
  • Interpretive skills: ability to define problems, establish facts, collect data, interpret issues, and recommend solutions.
Physical Demands

Regular use of hands and eyes for PC; reach, lift up to 50 pounds (case of wine); stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch; see, taste, and smell wine products. Recognizes the distribution of alcohol beverages and does not encourage excessive or unnecessary drinking.

Additional Requirements
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Overnight travel as required; must meet minimum travel schedule for assigned territories.
