JOB OVERVIEW
The Cigar Retail Clerk supports daily cigar retail operations by providing excellent guest service, maintaining the humidor, and offering knowledgeable guidance with professionalism and attention to detail.

- Provide courteous, personalized, and consistent guest service, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries, requests, and concerns.
- Work comfortably in an environment where patrons actively smoke cigars.
- Serve as a knowledgeable salesperson, guiding guests through cigar selections and enhancing their overall experience.
- Conduct regular cigar inventories and ensure all cigars are properly secured when not in the immediate area.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash transactions with precision and accountability.
- Maintain the humidor by restocking, rotating, and refacing cigars; ensure displays remain clean, organized, and visually appealing each day.
- Develop and maintain a strong and expanding knowledge of cigars, including brands, profiles, storage, and cutting/lighting techniques.
- Follow all health and safety regulations in accordance with Clique Hospitality standards.
- Other duties as required
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a retail environment.
- Strong customer service abilities and proficient computer skills.
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
- Physically able to walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces without assistance.
- Professional grooming and appearance consistent with department standards.
- Positive attitude with a self‑motivated, friendly, attentive, and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to follow directions, make quick and sound decisions, and stay organized under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of duties with exceptional care, attention, and detail.
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
- Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
- Must regularly lift and/move up to 15 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
- Work is performed indoors in a climate‑controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
