Overview

Freight/Receiving role at The Home Depot in North Las Vegas, NV. Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $18.00/hr.

Position

Purpose:

Associates in Freight/Receiving ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts, and may perform critical functions for maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required and excellent customer service skills are required. The Freight/Receiving roles may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.

• Load and unload trucks and move materials to appropriate locations in the store or receiving area.
• Move merchandise from the receiving area throughout the store to ensure stock is available for customers.
• Operate forklifts where required and authorized, following safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate on-hand counts and pricing information for customers and store associates.
• Provide direct customer interaction and assist customers with product locations and availability as needed.

• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving merchandise and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to operate forklifts if trained and authorized (as applicable).
