Overview
The Beverage Manager for Maroon is responsible for overseeing all beverage operations within the venue, ensuring exceptional service, strict adherence to SAHARA Las Vegas standards, and a dynamic beverage program that reflects the personality and energy of Maroon. This leader will cultivate team performance, uphold brand culture, and deliver an elevated guest experience.
Job Focus- Manage the operations of all beverage services within Maroon, including bar operations, lounge service, and guest-facing beverage programs.
- Opens and closes shift.
- Ensures maintenance and cleanliness of restaurant and communicates expectations to all support departments.
- Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service within the restaurant consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
- Interacts with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of dining & beverage experience.
- Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
- Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with Company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.
- Creates enthusiasm and gains commitment in others through clearly communicating the department goals and initiatives.
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested.
- Coordinate and implement SOPs, cocktail/mixology programs, wine service protocols, and training tailored to Maroon.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of Maroon bar areas and equipment.
- Prepare daily orders and ensure Maroon maintains appropriate product levels.
- Maintain SAHARA’s positive culture within Maroon, supporting team engagement, guest-centric service, and a Yes/Thank you mindset.
- Support recruiting, hiring, training, and retention for beverage staff assigned to Maroon.
- Liaise with cross-departmental SAHARA teams as needed for Maroon operations.
- Five (5) years of restaurant/hospitality industry experience required, educational experience considered.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and occasionally stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts.
- Administrative abilities, strong organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established timelines, ability to make decisions quickly and delegate responsibilities accordingly and good public relations skills.
- Able to lead and mentor a team.
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Ability to obtain a valid Nevada Non-Gaming Card, Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card and Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card
- Ability to analyze financial statements and modify operations to meet financial goals
- The ability to maintain a Yes/Thank you attitude for the completion of responsibilities/tasks
- Has an exceptional personality, attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be polished, professional, friendly, and have the ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline driven environment
- Superior organizational and follow up skills with extreme attention to detail
- Strong email, PC and Internet skills - including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Dedication and willingness to go above and beyond in a hospitality driven environment
- Strong guest service, interpersonal, organizational, analytical,problem-solving and leadership skills
