Overview

In Room Dining Server Assistant/Bus Runner (On Call) - Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an organized dining room environment and clean stations and equipment to assist servers in addressing guests’ needs and requests.
  • Avoid delays by anticipating guests' needs and addressing them to provide a delightful experience.
  • Check assigned station before, during and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
  • Complete designated side work checklists (opening and closing).
  • Pickup clean linen for service and drop-off soiled linen for washing to the determined area.
  • Provide excellent service to all guests at all times; assist guests courteously and efficiently.
  • Set up and clear tables in accordance with Waldorf Astoria standards.
  • Deliver buckets of ice, amenities and all guest requests into guest rooms and residential units when required; follow proper room entry etiquette.
  • Retrieve all dirty In-room dining tables, trays and equipment from guest floors, rooms and residence units in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all silverware is polished and spotless.
  • Have an Ipod and radio available at all times for immediate guest assistance.
  • Attend all food and beverage training classes when requested.
  • Reset all tables to standard throughout the shift.
  • Attend daily pre-meal/communication meetings and monthly department meetings.
  • Provide Forbes 5-star service to all guests.
Qualifications
  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a luxury fine dining establishment.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
  • Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of food and preparation; good knowledge of wine.
  • Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time; excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Be able to consistently delight and satisfy guests; handle guest requests in a detailed manner.
  • Reading, writing and spoken proficiency in English.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times; must work as a team player and assist servers when needed.
  • Assist with amenities delivery and preparations; follow reasonable instructions from Management; be energetic and positive.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings/trainings.
