Overview

The Bus Runner, Model is responsible for food service of all VIP tables and seating areas and assists the Kitchen and Servers. The bus runner must always move quickly and efficiently while maintaining constant communication with the server on the status of each table. The bus runner needs to assist the server by ensuring that every guest’s needs, and special requests are met.

Job Duties

Includes but is not limited to:

  • Check food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented and that special requests have been met.
  • Ensure tables are maintained, with the guidance of the server throughout the dining experience in the most unobtrusive manner.
  • Garnish and bus all food and beverage orders as needed per company standards and recipes.
  • Deliver beverages, including alcoholic options to guests.
  • Organize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequence.
  • Practice full hands in full hands out.
  • Ensure that tables are reset within two minutes of your guests’ departure.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide them with appropriate information.
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and organized.
  • Recognize and monitor guests who are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated.
  • Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations.
  • Adhere to all the company standard operating procedures and service standards.
  • Comply with all local, state and federal liquor laws.
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as company and/or departmental policies/procedures.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Preferred
  • Previous experience with beverage presentation.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, beer and mixed cocktails.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • At least six months of previous experience in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, day club, entertainment venue or in a similar or related field.
  • Previous experience modeling and beverage presentation.
  • At least 21 years of age.
