Job Summary And Qualifications
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of patient flow across assigned units and throughout the hospital. This role plays a critical leadership function in hospital throughput, capacity management, and the float pool program, ensuring the efficient movement of patients across the Hospital
  • Serving as the primary patient throughput liaison, you will facilitate communication and coordination to optimize patient flow from admission through discharge
  • This role collaborates closely with Emergency Department leadership, House Supervisors, Patient Placement, Inpatient leaders, Clinical Coordinators, and ancillary departments to identify barriers to patient movement and implement timely solutions
  • You will maintain 24/7 accountability for coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care and operational support for areas including the float pool, discharge center, telemetry, patient transfers, and other assigned operational functions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health field preferred
  • Certification in specialty area preferred
  • Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience in hospital setting preferred
  • Two to five years of experience in management related role required
  • Experience with Intake centers, managing transfers and intake processes preferred
  • Current Nevada nursing license to practice required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
