Spring Valley Hospital is a 366‑bed acute care hospital in southwest Las Vegas, part of The Valley Health System (VHS). It offers emergency care, advanced cardiovascular and neurological surgeries, women’s health, maternity services, and a level III neonatal intensive care unit. Accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized by US News & World Report for various specialty programs, it also operates the Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center.
ER at Blue Diamond, a freestanding emergency department extension, provides 24/7 emergency care for infants, children, and adults.
Job DescriptionProvides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Qualifications- Experienced RN required (no new graduates).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
- One year acute care experience or completion of an approved specialty course.
- Current RN license in Nevada; current BLS, ACLS (adult), PALS (pediatric) or NRP (neonatal) certification as required.
- Other certifications as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
- Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
