Clinical Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery

Join Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in Labor and Delivery. The CNC ensures high‑quality, patient‑centered care, coordinates nursing care across the unit, and serves as a resource for staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CNC directs, monitors and evaluates nursing care according to established policies and procedures. They collaborate with the management team, support a patient‑first philosophy, investigate staffing, and maintain inventory control.

  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
  • Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit.
  • Collaborates with subject‑matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Supports a patient‑first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalizes nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Recommends and implements courses of action related to interviewing, selecting, training new staff, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Supports inventory control and manages supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
    Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required.
  • AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring required.
  • STABLE required.
  • Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • 1+ year applicable experience required.
