Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Neuro Stroke Services. In this role you will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care given to Neuro Stroke Med Surg patients. - You will develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through implementation of the nursing process and nursing diagnosis.
- You will administer medications as ordered for a specific group of patients and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects and contraindications.
- You will initiate, regulate and otherwise manage IV specific group of assigned patients.
- You will assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
- You will provide patient education and keep patient informed.
Qualifications:
- This position is in the Neuro Stroke Services department.
- Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required.
- Specialty Certification where required: example:
Chemotherapy; ACLS; PALS; NIHSS. - Current CPR certification from American Heart Association required.
- Complies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programs.
- Current acute clinical care experience preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
- Independently maintains license.
