Medication Certified Technician

Overview

Part Time - Fri & Sat 6a to 2p - $18.00 to $25.25 per hour based on experience

Las Ventanas, a Human Good community, located in Las Vegas, Nevada

• Under general supervision, the Medication Attendant is responsible for assisting Assisted Living and Memory Care residents as directed by a care plan or agreement.
• Provide residents assistance with activities of daily living including assistance with medications according to physician orders. Sets up, monitors and disperses medicines to residents.
• Sets up medication for residents and provides medication, under the direction and monitoring of a licensed nurse, and according to physician orders. May order/re-order medications.
• Records and documents all medication, treatment and care provided to residents.
• Gives medication to patients and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures.
• Reads communication books in the Wellness office and Lodge for medication changes.
• Sets up new treatments or medication changes.
• Takes verbal orders from MDs and communicates with MD confirming medication changes.
• Assures medications are ordered on time to prevent residents from missing doses.
• Takes blood pressures and pulses when needed for determining drug dosing.
