Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. • You will communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition
• You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
• You will perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision.
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
• You will participate in performance improvement activities
• You will act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent
• Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• Current BLS required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (within 90 days of hire)
• AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation within 6 months of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (within 90 days of hire)
• ACLS must be obtained within 3 months of Hire/Transfer
• Pass National League of Nursing medication test with score of 80%
• Minimum 1-year recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience, in a comparable or more active unit or completion of Labor and Delivery course at Southern Hills Hospital, including surgical suite
• Proficient in Labor and Delivery nursing procedures and skills, including fetal monitoring interpretation
• Proficiency in newborn, maternal/child, and labor and delivery, childbearing women (11-55 years), nursing procedures and skills, including assessment
