Overview
The Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to manage the day-to-day clinical operational activities at the Pepsi Co Las Vegas plant. The position reports directly to the Central/Mid-West Regional Coordinator for the Pepsi Co/JHU partnership and works closely with the Executive Director, Medical Director, and Assistant Director of the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Responsibilities- Provide on-site services forty (40) hours per week at the Pepsi Co clinic in Las Vegas, NV.
- Triage and treat minor work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses as appropriate.
- Dispense over the counter and prescription medications in accordance with pre-established standing orders for employees with minor concerns (e.g., back pain, headache, pharyngitis).
- Provide on-site specimen/lab collection for employees with lab orders from their PCP.
- Perform urine drug screening and breath alcohol testing in accordance with company protocol.
- Provide on-site assessments for acute and chronic illnesses (e.g., strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hypertension, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia).
- Provide support and case management for work-related and non-work-related conditions to reduce illness and absenteeism.
- Coordinate second opinions for employees absent due to workers' compensation or disability, as necessary in adherence with company protocols.
- Coordinate annual seasonal influenza vaccination program.
- Coordinate, plan, and deliver monthly health education seminars and general wellness events.
- Provide referrals for Pepsi Co employees to primary care physicians or specialists in adherence to company protocols.
- Perform on-site physical assessments (DOT, return to work, work-related injuries) as required by Pepsi Co.
- Provide on-site patient education regarding illnesses, medications, treatments, etc.
- Work collaboratively with patients and their PCP/Specialist to facilitate early diagnosis and management of acute and chronic health problems.
- Maintain and revise, as needed, standardized procedures, protocols, and standing orders.
- Maintain adequate clinical supplies.
- Maintain Letter of Permit Exception with the XXX Department of Health/CLIA for on-site lab testing.
- Maintain patient electronic medical records.
- Work with Benefits and Safety teams to coordinate and plan health and wellness events and initiatives.
- Manage workers' compensation claims.
- Expand clinic services and reach.
- Provide crisis management/intervention as needed.
- Provide general medical advice to Pepsi Co Human Resources and Safety/Risk Management departments.
- Ensure prompt, appropriate clinical care to all patients in accordance with Pepsi Co and Johns Hopkins University protocols, state regulations, and professional standards.
- Develop relationships with clinical providers in the area to provide back-up clinical care.
- Ensure timely problem resolution and follow-up to Pepsi Co employees as required.
- Ensure all patients receive prompt, courteous, friendly, and professional attention.
- Maintain Pepsi Co onsite clinic facilities in a neat, clean, and attractive condition.
- Develop and implement new administrative policies and procedures as needed for smooth operation of Pepsi Co onsite clinics.
- Conduct yourself in an exemplary fashion to achieve goals.
- Analytical ability to evaluate health status and implement proper care.
- Interpersonal skills to interview, teach, and counsel patients and interact with clients/employers.
- Understanding of outpatient adult medicine, patient care procedures, medical protocols, and testing procedures.
- General computer knowledge and ability to use computerized medical information systems.
- Master s Degree in Nursing; RN license and Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Must be licensed in the state of practice.
- National Board Certification.
- BLS certification.
- Related experience in adult medicine.
- Minimum twelve months of related experience in adult medicine.
- Experience in Occupational Medicine, Workers Compensation, and DOT exams.
- DOT Medical Examiner preferred.
- Certified Urine Drug Screen Collector preferred.
- Certified Breath Alcohol Technician preferred.

- Starting Salary Range: $104,000 - $152,900 Annually (135,000 targeted; commensurate with experience)
