Family Health (1099)
Pay rate: $66.00 per hour (1099).
Location: Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC) Nellis AFB, NV.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 8 hours days 7:00am-5:00pm (hours may vary).

Education:
Be a graduate Physician Assistant qualified by academic and practical education to provide patient services as a physician extender under supervision of a physician. Be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), or its predecessors, and acceptable to the Surgeon General, USAF, is mandatory. – OR – Must have successfully completed all education and training requirements leading to and graduated from an accredited national, state or military equivalent school (MSN or DNP degree) for Nurse Practitioner (Family and/ or Geriatric Specialty) - Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: The HCW shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications using American Heart Association or client guidelines. Members must present proof of current certification(s) through American Heart Association or client. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Committee on Certification Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
- Experience: Have at least 24 months of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 36 months – OR – Successful completion of an accredited MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner (Family and/or Geriatric Specialty). Have at least 24 months of experience as a Nurse Practitioner within the last 36 months. Outpatient experience highly preferred though not required.
- Board Certification: Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) –OR – Must hold a Nurse Practitioner certification from either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Licensure/Registration: For positions involving patient care, candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted Physician Assistant license to practice in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States – OR – Must have and maintain throughout course of contract, a current, active, valid, unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) from a US jurisdiction.
- Strongly preferred working knowledge of the military health care system including TRICARE health benefits.
- Shall provide outpatient health care to qualifying beneficiaries as scheduled by the Government.
- Care shall include but not be limited to continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to entire family regardless of sex, age, or type of problem.
- Will maintain a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, to include preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
- Provides primary or specialty medical care with the cognizance or supervision of a physician.
- Responsible for a regularly appointed clinic, compatible with workload and, in addition, provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur. Shall have the capability to:
- Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
- Perform a general physical examination.
