Nurse Practitioner, Convenience Care - LV Durango Family Med Cl - Full Time 12 Hour Rotating Shift (Exempt) (Non-Union)

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide advanced patient care in a convenience care setting. The NP will conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and manage the continuum of care for patients in a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.

• Perform or order appropriate diagnostic studies and interpret results.
• Develop and implement long- and short‑term treatment plans.
• Perform procedures including specimen collection, injections, immunizations, skin biopsies, suturing, and wound care.
• Write orders for medication changes, subject to physician checking and counter‑signing.
• Initiate consultations and coordinate scheduling of special tests.
• Maintain and update patient charts, and notify responsible physicians of any changes in condition.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on preventive care, medical conditions, and medication use.
• Serve as liaison with government agencies such as the CDC and NIH; assist with research projects and obtain IRB approval as needed.
• Research community resources for patient referrals and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, quality assurance, safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in in‑service education programs and professional associations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical nursing experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of medical procedures, conditions, and ability to perform clinical duties successfully.

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) license from the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• Board certification in Acute Care (ACNP), Adult Medicine (ANP), Family Medicine (FNP), or Gerontology (AGNP).
• DEA prescription drug license for Schedule II‑V substances, unrestricted, with Nevada address.
• Valid Nevada Board of Pharmacy license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS);
  Advanced Radiology Life Support (ARLS) within 30 days of hire.
• USC Credentialing within 6 months of hire.
