Community Outreach Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Community Outreach Specialist to assist with outreach and engagement efforts throughout the community. This position plays an important role in connecting individuals to healthcare
, behavioral health
, and employment support programs
.

The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, and enjoys helping others—especially individuals who may be experiencing homelessness, unemployment, or behavioral health challenges.

• Assist participants with completing sign-ups and applications for community, healthcare, and behavioral health programs.
• Participate in job fairs
  , resource events
  , and community outreach activities (dates provided in advance).
• Engage with local agencies, nonprofits, and service providers to strengthen community partnerships.
• Collect, track, and maintain accurate records of participants and outreach activity.
• Distribute information materials, flyers, and resources at events and partner locations.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all program and organizational guidelines.

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college or related training preferred).
• 1+ year of experience in community outreach
  , social services
  , recruiting
  , or case management
  .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with diverse populations, including those facing housing instability or behavioral health needs.
• Organized and able to manage outreach activities with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Part-Time: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
