The Graphics Fabric Seamstress is responsible for precision finishing of large-format fabric graphics for trade shows and live events. This role ensures accurate cutting, sewing, fitting, labeling, and quality control of fabric graphics to meet production schedules and show-site standards. The position supports branch and national graphics production by executing work orders accurately, maintaining substrate organization, and ensuring finished graphics meet structural and client specifications.
ESSENTIALJOB DUTIES Production Operations
- Interpret scale production drawings and written work tickets
- Measure, cut, clean, sew, and finish fabric graphics to specifications
- Ensure proper fit for SEG, tension fabric, and custom applications
- Organize assigned production work to meet delivery deadlines and production schedules
- Conduct quality inspections for seam strength and accuracy
- Escalate unclear production drawings, substrate/material concerns, or fit and structural issues to the Graphics Production Supervisor prior to completion
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing and finishing equipment
- Track labor by job number and document rework if required
- Monitor material usage and communicate inventory needs
- Assist in packaging, manifesting and shipping
- Accurately record all hours worked and job labor time in accordance with company timekeeping, including rework and deadline‑driven extensions
- All other duties as assigned
- 2+ years graphics production or fabric finishing experience preferred
- Proficiency with industrial sewing machines
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings
- Strong measurement and math skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Frequent bending and handling of large fabric panels
- Ability to work in warehouse/production environment
