POSITION OVERVIEWThe Production Associate is responsible positioning and assembly of parts according to verbal instructions, written instructions, reading drawings and schematics, sample visual aids or knowledge of units being assembled.
This position is a safety sensitive position and is subject to company drug and alcohol screening including pre‑employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post‑accident.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips or other fasteners using hand and/or power tools or specialized equipment.
- Disassembles, partially or completely, slot machines and/or various assemblies or component parts for all products.
- Makes modifications or repairs as directed or indicted by state of configuration of machines and/or assemblies or component parts, using hand and/or power tools and specialized equipment.
- Testing of Products.
- Special projects/parts assistance.
- Sets up or takes down workstation daily or as required making sure area is clean, and organized tools stored, power tools charging, floor swept, and debris disposed of in the appropriate location.
- Assists in the loading and unloading of machines to and from transportation carrier.
- Communicates problems and concerns, method improvements, product or specification change recommendations and work status to management personnel.
- Maintains expected output quantity/productivity of the production line.
- Maintains a high standard of quality.
- Reports to senior manager any discrepancies or problems requiring resolution.
- Complies with the company’s regulatory guidelines and corporate policies at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding the company, products and employee information.
- Other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. (General Education Diploma) or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Must be able to push/ pull, lift, and carry 50 pounds over moderate distances.
- Must have good manual dexterity, eye/hand coordination, good eyesight and normal color differentiation.
- Must be able to sit, stand or stoop for extended periods on a regular periodic basis.
- Must be able to follow and carry out specific instructions from line leader and/or manager.
- Must be able to communicate problems, concerns and updates to supervisor or manager.
- Must be able to work as a team member.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
