Steelhead is looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our production team and ensure high-quality, precise parts are produced efficiently. This role is hands‑on, technical, and critical to keeping our production running smoothly.

You’ll operate, maintain, and optimize CNC machines while ensuring safety, accuracy, and process efficiency.

This is a great role for someone who thrives in a high‑volume manufacturing environment, values quality and precision, and enjoys turning complex machining tasks into repeatable, reliable processes.

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts that meet design specifications.
• Load, edit, and verify CNC programs, making adjustments to maintain quality and production targets.
• Prepare and secure materials for machining, ensuring proper alignment and setup.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, addressing defects or deviations promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production team members to improve machining efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, following all safety protocols.
• Document production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities accurately.

• Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Proficiency with CNC programming and operation (experience with specific software/equipment preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and proactive approach to workplace safety.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

The work environment includes exposure to power tools, machinery, wood, aluminum, steel, dust, loud noise, fumes, cleaning chemicals, varying temperatures, humidity, and uneven or slippery surfaces.
