EōS Fitness is seeking a highly motivated, sales‑driven leader for the role of Fitness Manager. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about sales and helping members achieve health and wellness goals. Reporting to the District Fitness Manager, the Fitness Manager will work on the floor, setting appointments, and building relationships while selling training packages and developing the personal training team.
PositionPurpose
Build a cohesive Personal Training team, ensure a healthy client pipeline, and deliver exceptional experiences to clients and members.
Responsibilities- Achieve sales targets month‑over‑month, driving membership growth and ensuring the team meets or exceeds goals for new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue.
- Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and sales initiatives.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff, including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers.
- Manage the payroll process for Assistant Fitness Managers and personal trainers.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to departmental leaders and staff.
- Ensure all fitness staff hold proper certifications (CPR, First Aid, personal trainer certifications).
- Provide constructive feedback to staff using clear, specific language.
- Ensure high‑quality customer service by addressing member concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Engage with members friendly and approachable, listening to their needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining certifications and protocols.
- Supervise facility maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- In the event of emergencies, communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members, providing instructions and updates for safety and well‑being.
- 2 years of management experience; fitness/personal training management is a plus.
- 3–4 years of customer service experience.
- Personal training sales experience preferred.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and vendors.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
- Detail orientation, systematic problem solving, and strong time‑management, organization, and record‑keeping skills.
- Proficient MS Office skills.
- Embraces core values.
- Successfully pass background check.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Valid PT certification.
- Previous sales experience required.
- Ability to work in a gym setting and move around the club floors and rooms.
- Ability to access and operate the company computer system.
- Ability to routinely bend or lift more than 40 lbs.
