Position: Fitness & Wellness Manager -Full-Time

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Fitness and Wellness Manager (FWM) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fitness center. The FWM is responsible for delivering great guest service, team member development, and generating revenue through private trainings and group classes. The FWM will be responsible for the seamless operation of the fitness center, ensuring all guest interactions result in world-class, luxury experiences. This position will assist the leadership team with managing the day-to-day operations of the contact center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Responsible for leading, evaluating, and coaching Members in order to create world-class guest experiences with every interaction
  • Responsible for all Fitness Member recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Work with Spa Director and Spa Assistant Director for creating and moving out private training and group exercise classes
  • Support Public Relations and Marketing strategies to enhance revenue generating activities
  • Create group exercise classes and programs for convention and group bookings
  • Oversee scheduling and timekeeping with support from Fitness and Wellness Supervisor
  • Responsible for creating asset protection and emergency procedures to ensure protection of all fitness equipment and guest safety
  • Ensure all areas of the fitness center are kept clean and well maintained
  • Must lead by example by demonstrating exceptional guest service and Member interactions along with following all company and department policies and procedures
  • Promotes open and honest communication throughout the department by conducting
  • daily briefings, developmental one-on-one sessions, and coaching sessions
  • Foster and promote a cooperative, inclusive working environment, maximizing productivity and Member morale
  • Ensure Member schedules and workforce management objectives align with business
  • needs and financial targets
  • Ensure all Fontainebleau culture values, property, department standards are implemented and applied
  • Able to multi-task while assisting multiple guests
  • Assist in the fitness center when needed
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Minimum four (4) years working in a luxury resort setting or similar field
  • One (1) year of management experience preferred
  • Possess an understanding of all exercise equipment and proper operations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Polished appearance and demeanor
  • Polished communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to provide a luxury guest experience with every interaction
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will supervise Fitness Members.
