Director of Risk Management, Las Vegas

We are currently working with a growing community hospital that is looking to hire a Director of Risk Management. The Director is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities, including but not limited to performance and oversight of the claim management functions, investigation and analysis, performance of risk assessments for new services, root cause analysis and action plan tracking, and management of the Patient Safety Council.

The role works collaboratively with department directors and the executive team to implement corporate and facility risk reduction strategies, provides expertise to regulatory and compliance standards, and entails data analysis, reporting, educating, providing leadership and accountability for related activities.

• Performance and oversight of claim management functions including investigation and analysis.
• Performance of risk assessments for new services.
• Root cause analysis for the system, action plan tracking and facilitation.
• Management of the Patient Safety Council and incorporation of corporate TERM program into the risk management program.
• Collaborate with department directors and executive team to implement risk reduction strategies.
• Provide expertise to regulatory and compliance standards and processes.
• Data analysis, reporting, educating, providing leadership and accountability for related activities.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required.
• Two (2) years of Risk Management experience; acute care experience preferred.
• Must have risk and leaders experience in a hospital setting.

Permanent position; salary $110,000 - $134,000, plus benefits and relocation assistance.
