We are looking for a Project Manager. Here are a few of the skills necessary and tasks involved.
Purpose: Assist the Project Manager with various administrative tasks to coordinate the successful fabrication and installation of custom wood and metal components in custom homes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Track progress of all current and future projects.
- Openly communicate with Project Managers on all aspects of their assigned projects.
- Assist with scheduling each project from start to completion.
- Gather all needed documents for each project to follow the JD stairs workflow SOP.
- Assist with submitting required documents to all internal and external parties.
- Assist the Project Manager during site visits with any needed tasks.
- Oversee projects during the fabrication process in the shop to ensure items are being built to specifications.
- Assist with ordering all material for each job.
- Track and properly document the status of all purchased material for each job. Verify receipt of all materials 24-48 hours before production begins.
- Assist as a point of contact on all active jobs when Project Manager is unavailable.
- Maintain an appropriate filing system for all current, past, and future job folders.
- Assist with tracking each project financial state to ensure invoices are submitted and paid in a timely manner.
- Assist Project Managers with any tasks as requested.
- Work closely with sales associates, AutoCAD drafters, and production staff to ensure each project is completed accurately, and design is precise.
- Explain drawings to construction teams, contractors, and clients for a clear representation of work to be completed.
- Ensure that all projects are undertaken on time, within budget, and to the best quality and craftsmanship possible.
- Work effectively as part of a team and individually with minimal oversight.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Experience in ornamental iron and structural steel is beneficial, but not required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be skilled in Conflict Management, Decision-Making, and People Management.
- Must have Critical Thinking and Problem‑Solving Skills
- Must be able to Prioritize and Delegate as necessary
- Must be Dependable
- Must have the ability to tolerate stresses of ever‑changing schedules and demands of clients and sales staff.
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting or standing for long periods
- Must be able to work in a construction environment while maintaining OSHA safety standards.
- See well (naturally or with correction)
- Eye‑hand coordination
