In the heart of the renowned Las Vegas Strip, our 829-room resort offers the ideal retreat for our owners and guests to unwind after a bustling day on the Strip. Alongside the nearby attractions, our rooftop pool, fitness center, and spa enhance our guests  stay.

We are in search of a Director of Engineering who will work with the Resort Leadership Team to develop maintenance programs, engage team members, maintain an accurate budget, and find opportunities that better equip the organization to achieve its established annual business goals.

• Develop and complete pivotal initiatives for the Engineering department and adjust operations to meet the strategic goals of Resort Operations.
• Conduct weekly walk-throughs of each resort tower to visually assess the physical structures.
• Maintain safety, efficient maintenance, and operation of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment.
• Assign routine maintenance tasks in public spaces, meeting rooms, guest rooms, outlets, back-of-the-house spaces, and grounds.
• Assign and verify completion with Maintenance Technicians of repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.
• Ensure the property 's Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plans are updated and current.
• Ensure compliance with Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations brand standards related to engineering, including preventive maintenance of each unit twice per year.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of operating supplies and ensure purchasing procedures support adequate stock.
• Ensure all assets, equipment, supplies, and storage are securely locked and stored.
• Develop and maintain human resources practices in partnership with the HR Business Partner, including recruitment, performance management, and corrective action for subordinates.
• Partner with Senior Leadership to prepare reserve spend projects and capital projects.
• Develop and lead financial spending related to the established annual HOA budget, Reserve budget, and Capital Budget.
• Participate in the MOD program as assigned by Senior Leadership.
• Other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership.

To fulfill this role optimally, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 5+ years of engineering experience in hotels or related industry
• 5+ years of a leadership role in the same or similar environment
• Fully flexible schedule – to include weekends as needed
• EPA – OSHA 10-30 – CPO- CPR/ AED certifications
• HVAC certification
• Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• BA/BS/bachelor’s degree
