The Regional Service Manager (RSM) plans, directs, and supervises skilled, semi‑skilled, and unskilled trade personnel to effectively complete daily operations, including repairs, maintenance, security, and safety, across a region of LUV Car Wash locations. Responsibilities include hiring, training, developing, and managing the effectiveness of the maintenance team. The RSM is the subject matter expert on maintenance and ensures efficient operations through proactive problem‑solving and organized systems and processes.
Ensures Maintenance Techs and Maintenance Leads follow proper repair and safety procedures.
Reports to:
VP of Facilities.
Supervises:
Maintenance PLNifiers.
FLSA Status:
Exempt.
- Travel up to 70% of the time to train and oversee site maintenance.
- Hire, develop, and train the LUV Car Wash facilities mainly to meet quality standards and financial R&M targets.
- Conduct ride‑along with Maintenance Technicians to evaluate their efficiency.
- Manage tech effectiveness to ensure work orders are completed within allotted time frames and specifications; maintain quality to LUV standards.
- Develop service technicians to build skills and progress their career within LUV.
- Manage departmental metrics: utilization, hours per work order, variance to estimated work order time, work order completion, return visits, and driving score.
- Work with third‑party vendors to facilitate emergency repair work.
- Manage and maintain inventory of all assets within the facilities department (equipment, vehicles, tools).
- Assist with integration of acquired locations through collaboration with functional team leads and the corporate ops team.
- Foster a positive working environment between operations and maintenance.
- Manage internal billing of services rendered to locations.
- Perform other duties as requested or needed.
Physical Demands
The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly, respond quickly to sounds, move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, see clearly and respond to dangerous situations, safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds or more, work in extreme weather, and wear PPE correctly throughout the day.
Education
High School degree required.
Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of car wash facility repair and maintenance experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of management experience.
- Proficiency in Maintain
X (preferred).
Other Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Expert knowledge of car wash equipment and chemistry, including installation, maintenance, repair, wona calibrations.
- Experience in establishing and executing policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage competing priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible with scheduling demands.
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
