Job Overview

All 5’s Construction is searching for a Fuel Technician to join our team in Las Vegas, NV!

Responsibilities
  • Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment and various pieces of machinery.
  • Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and assorted services.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs of fuel usage, service activities, and maintenance performed for inventory and compliance purposes.
  • Operate and test equipment regularly, keeping inspection logs up to date.
  • Identify and evaluate malfunctioning equipment and recommend corrective measures or repair.
  • Negotiate and organize fuel rates and purchases, assigning costs to specific projects or machine IDs for accurate job costing.
  • Track inventory of filters, lubricants, and high-wear truck parts; estimate repair costs and provide input for budgeting new equipment purchases.
  • Ensure all legal and tax requirements are followed, and all documents are filed.
  • Understand, maintain, and update all software systems and technology related to fuel, equipment, and trucks.
  • Communicate with and visit jobsites regularly.
  • Stay informed and up to date on OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations/compliance regarding fuel handling and spill prevention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that may not be listed here.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of prior experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of various oils and lubricants.
  • Experience with tax, legal, and financial transactions and documents.
  • Proficiency of computer software and technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management.
  • Proactive attitude and solutions-based approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt well to changes in assignments and priorities.
  • Experience with follow-up and monitoring of work to ensure quality standards and attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and team player mindset.
