Overview
Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada seeks a full-time Staff Attorney to provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and zealous advocacy for survivors of violent crime. This entry-level position is ideal for a new or early-career attorney committed to public interest law and serving individuals and families impacted by crime.
The Victims’ Rights Attorney will provide direct legal representation to survivors in a variety of civil legal matters, including record sealing and vacatur, name changes, custody and family law issues, protection orders, immigration-related relief, dependency matters, credit and consumer issues, debt collection, and other civil legal needs commonly faced by survivors of violent crime.

- Work with clients using a survivor-centered approach and collaborate with internal teams and community partners to ensure holistic, accessible legal services.
- Participate in outreach efforts to connect survivors with legal assistance and educate the community about victims’ rights and available legal remedies.
- Be housed at the Resiliency & Justice Center and be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting survivors of violent crime.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development in trauma-informed advocacy, civil litigation, and victims’ rights law under supervision of experienced attorneys.
The ideal candidate is committed to public interest law, social justice, and community service, with a strong desire to advocate for survivors of violent crime. Applicants may be newly licensed or have limited prior legal experience; relevant internships, clinics, or volunteer work are valued. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and the ability to work effectively with clients who have experienced trauma are essential.
Spanish language skills are a plus.
Applicants must be licensed and in good standing in any United States jurisdiction or eligible for licensure in Nevada. Attorneys relocating to Nevada may be eligible for special licensing to provide legal services through Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.
Salary and Benefits- Starting Salary range is $70,000 to $100,000 depending on experience, with annual increases available.
