Role OverviewWest Coast Trial Lawyers is hiring a Legal Assistant to support our attorneys with Minor’s Compromise petitions. These filings require a high level of detail, organization, and follow-through. We're looking for someone who’s proactive, dependable, and ready to take ownership of time‑sensitive tasks from start to finish.
Responsibilities- Drafting and preparing Minor’s Compromise petitions
- Filing documents with the court and handling corrections or resubmissions
- Calendaring hearings and deadlines to avoid delays or missed appearances
- Coordinating with accounting to ensure timely release of settlement checks
- Communicating with clients, court clerks, and other involved parties as needed
- Assisting with urgent, last‑minute filings or court communications
- 1+ year of legal assistant or litigation support experience (PI experience highly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with court filing procedures and legal calendaring
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
$18.00–$24.00
