Contract/Of-Counsel Attorney (Nevada) — Las Vegas & Remote

ADAMS ESQ is a boutique special education law firm with a 20+ year track record representing children with disabilities and their families. We’re expanding in Nevada and seeking an experienced litigator to serve as Of-Counsel (Independent Contractor) based in our Las Vegas office. If you’ve built strong litigation chops (dependency, family, workers’ comp, criminal, immigration, PI, civil rights, or similar) and want purpose-driven work with flexible hours and WFH options, we’d love to meet you.

• Advocate for students with disabilities in resolution sessions, mediations, administrative due process hearings, federal court appeals and related litigation.
• Draft demand letters, complaints, motions, and briefs; manage discovery; negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with our senior attorneys; leverage our templates, training, and case strategy support.

• Maintain excellent client communication with empathy, cultural humility, and pragmatism.

• MCLE-accredited training in special education law + ongoing mentorship.

• Active Nevada bar membership in good standing (additional CA admission a plus).
• 3+ years of direct litigation experience (hearings, motion practice, negotiations).
• Strong writing, time management, and judgment; trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• Ability to work independently as a contractor while collaborating with our team.

• Compensation:
  Contract Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
