Job SummaryWe are seeking dedicated and attentive Surveillance Operators to join our security monitoring team. Operators will monitor real-time video feeds from multiple sites nationwide, identify potential security threats, and take prompt action such as issuing audio warnings or notifying appropriate responders. This is a desk-based, fast-paced monitoring role requiring focus, accuracy, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor multiple live video surveillance feeds for suspicious, unsafe, or non-compliant activity.
- Deliver real-time audio warnings to individuals onsite when appropriate.
- Escalate incidents quickly to law enforcement, first responders, or property contacts as needed.
- Document incidents clearly and accurately in written reports.
- Manage several screens, tabs, and software simultaneously.
- Maintain strong attendance, punctuality, and focus throughout shifts.
- Notify IT of technical issues; extensive troubleshooting not required.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Comfortable interacting professionally with law enforcement and property managers.
- Proficient with computers and navigating multiple screens and applications.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
- Ability to sit and maintain concentration for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail in a high-volume, rapid environment.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Video gaming experience (strong multitasking and reaction skills).
- Dispatch, call center, loss prevention, or surveillance experience.
- Familiarity with fast-paced desktop monitoring environments.
