Job Summary

The Global Tech Services Manager ensures the efficient and high-quality operation of Global Tech Services at their assigned site(s). This position implements and maintains IT-related tech services for designated Ashley locations, providing technical direction and support for daily operational activities.

The Manager works collaboratively with site leadership to support and maintain cost-effective technology solutions. This position implements IT policies, procedures, and best practices while ensuring adherence to established standards.

Key Responsibilities IT Operations & Infrastructure
  • Execute and monitor day-to-day IT operations at assigned site(s) to meet quality standards and business needs
  • Implement work requirements and goals within established constraints of time, policy, cost, and quality
  • Oversee site-level tech operations and infrastructure; implement and maintain operational procedures
  • Monitor systems and respond to exceptions to maintain reliable operations
  • Coordinate with users and IT teams to resolve system failures and restore services according to business priorities
  • Manage local application deployments and coordinate with regional teams for enhancement requests
Security & Compliance
  • Implement company security processes and policies at the site level
  • Conduct security training and ensure compliance with established standards
  • Participate in disaster recovery activities and business continuity planning
Project Management & Improvement
  • Manage site-level IT projects and services delivery
  • Track performance metrics including budget adherence and business benefits realization
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within assigned site(s)
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to implement standardized practices globally
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies applicable to site operations
  • Build and maintain relationships with site stakeholders to understand business needs
  • Provide input to IT leadership on technology needs and opportunities within assigned site(s)
  • Execute IT plans aligned with local business needs while maintaining consistency with global standards
  • Provide regular status updates to regional management on site operations, project status, and key decisions
  • Supervise assigned team members, including hiring, performance management, and development activities
  • Monitor and coordinate team tasks to ensure quality, security, and performance standards are met
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones to communicate goals and support employee development
  • Ensure accurate time-keeping and attendance records for direct reports
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, technical support, or infrastructure management
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing technical teams
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or retail environments preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, end-user computing, and support operations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Knowledge of IT security practices and compliance standards
  • Ability to lead and develop technical teams
