Senior Network Engineer

Work Location: Las Vegas, NV (MUST BE LOCAL)

Project Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Responsibilities

• Support project execution, technology planning, and budgeting, collaborating cross-functionally with minimal supervision.
• Monitor and maintain network systems, ensuring availability, integrity, and proper log and backup validation.
• Lead security operations, including vulnerability mitigation, account management, and compliance.
• Provide Tier III support, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and root‑cause analysis.
• Mentor and guide team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across cloud and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews to align with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking, security, or incident response.
• Strong background in managing large‑scale physical and cloud network environments.
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls and infrastructure technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
• Automation/scripting experience using Python, Power Shell, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and strong interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Security+).

Preferred

Skills:

• Experience with network architecture and design.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and observability (e.g. SNMP, Net Flow).
• Prior experience in capacity planning and performance optimization.
