Overview
Position: Database Administration Module Lead
Location: 2251 S. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102 (Various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.)
- Develop and implement Gateway ICOMS Biller Isolation and Trunk Automation Application (TAP) proprietary products to extract, retrieve, manipulate, and migrate customer data on the Spectrum platform and Charter Communications’ servers and systems; implement, configure, maintain, and optimize critical SQL Server RDBMS systems through the TAP products to ensure availability and performance of Spectrum’s platform during data migration, as well as data recovery during outages and disasters.
- Manage SQL Server databases across multiple product lifecycle environments, including mission-critical data migration projects (e.g., planned migration from SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012 to SQL 2014/2016) using TAP proprietary products to project run plans; perform tests and evaluations of TAP proprietary products to ensure data security, privacy, and application integrity, and provide troubleshooting of real-time issues during integration with patches and new versions as required.
- Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic relocation to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or foreign equivalent plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Database Administrator or in a related position working with large-scale databases in a production environment.
- Experience must include installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server 2014/2016;
Extreme programming (XP) and NT;
Database tools:
Profiler, Perfmon, SSMS, and Redgate;
Backup tools: VERITAS Net Backup;
Monitoring tools:
Solar Winds DPA, SCOM and Quest Foglight. - Required Certificates:
