Senior Change Enablement Systems Architect

The Role:Senior Change Enablement Systems Architect
As Senior Change Enablement Systems Architect, you own the enterprise systems and architecture that support end-to-end change execution across Switch data centers. You design and govern workflows, data structures, controls, integrations, and reporting that make change execution consistent, auditable, and scalable.
You translate operational and policy requirements into system capabilities. You ensure the change platform is reliable, secure, and aligned with how teams actually operate. Your work strengthens governance while enabling speed.
What You’ll DoDefine the future-state architecture for change enablement systems, including workflows, data standards, and integrations.
Own the system roadmap and enhancement backlog based on risk, operational value, and stakeholder input.
Translate policy and operational requirements into system configurations, forms, templates, and approval models.
Standardize how risk, impact, implementation steps, validation, and rollback plans are captured.
Establish configuration governance including intake, design standards, testing, release management, and documentation.
Design and maintain integrations with related systems such as CMDB, incident, problem, identity, and reporting platforms.
Ensure proper access controls, role design, and segregation of duties.
Maintain data quality standards and ensure the system serves as a dependable system of record.
Deliver reporting and insights on change quality, cycle time, compliance, and trend analysis.
Lead working groups to resolve cross-functional design decisions.
Develop playbooks, job aids, and training materials to drive adoption.
Complete required background checks and drug screenings for customer-specific deployments.

What You’ll BringRequired:
- 5+ years of experience in data center or critical operations environments
- 5+ years of experience in change enablement or change management programs
- Strong expertise in ITIL change practices, including governance and control design
- Experience designing workflows, approval models, and system governance frameworks
- Strong understanding of CMDB fundamentals, configuration item modeling, and impact analysis
- Experience designing integrations between change, incident, problem, and asset systems
- Experience defining KPIs such as change success rate, emergency rate, and lead time
- Strong written documentation and executive communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred:
- ITIL certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with Service Now architecture including ITSM modules, workflow configuration, and role-based access design
- Experience implementing automation-first change models
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and operate standard business equipment.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to comply with required personal protective equipment when working in operational areas.
