NESC Staffing is seeking a Data Analyst to help transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making and business growth. In this role, you’ll partner with cross‑functional teams to analyze complex datasets, maintain strong data integrity across core systems, and deliver clear reporting that helps leaders and teams make informed decisions.
This position supports data management and analysis across multiple databases and tools, including an AMS and LMS, while also contributing to documentation, testing, process improvement, and responsive support to internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:- Collect, analyze, and interpret datasets from multiple sources, including AMS data and spreadsheets, to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand reporting needs and translate business requirements into effective analysis and deliverables.
- Design and maintain Excel‑based dashboards and reporting using pivot tables, charts, graphs, and advanced formulas to communicate findings clearly.
- Monitor and improve data quality through validation, cleansing, and ongoing quality control practices.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and deep dives to support decision‑making, uncover opportunities, and help address operational challenges.
- Support database integrity, security, process documentation, and system testing as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency.
- Stay current on best practices in reporting, analysis, and data visualization.
- Respond to telephone and electronic inquiries from current and prospective members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2–3 years of data analysis (or closely related) experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to turn data into practical recommendations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with large datasets.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards using data visualization and reporting techniques.
- Working knowledge of data validation, cleansing, data profiling, and data quality assessment methodologies.
- Solid understanding of database concepts.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain complex data in a straightforward way.
- Self‑directed and collaborative work style; able to balance independent work with cross‑functional partnership.
