Data Governance Analyst-HYBRID The Judge Group
• Las Vegas, NV
Our client is currently seeking a Data Governance Analyst-HYBRID. All candidates must CURRENTLY be living in the Metro-Las Vegas area.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
- Monitor data quality and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to uphold data standards.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
- Support compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA and resolve data-related issues.
- Respond to requests for assistance related to internally developed SQL processes.
- Troubleshoot data-related questions by reviewing SQL procedures and identifying optimizations or advising processes from internal app development.
- Collect and document requirements on data development initiatives from business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data Engineering teams to write SQL queries for ad-hoc inquiries or integration into stored procedures.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Utilize version control tools to maintain a structured and organized workflow; collaborate with the development team and follow best practices for documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Governance Analyst with SQL programming, database systems, and data analysis.
- Experience working in SOX and PCI/PII environments.
- Highly organized with excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Experience with Databricks, AWS S3, and Azure preferred.
- Strong T‑SQL programming skills preferred.
