Overview

Senior Business Analyst/SAP role focusing on SAP ISU Billing at Southwest Gas Corporation. The position provides support across SAP modules related to business processes and development, including meter to cash, PP, MM, IM/WM, SD, S4

HANA and C4C. Responsibilities include planning, configuration, testing and end-user support of SAP applications, functional oversight of custom software development, and support for project management and vendor relationship management.

• Collaborate with business partners, internal and external development teams, and IT staff to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Participate in the development of technical and workflow solutions, analyze SAP application solutions options, and create related documents and final deliverables using reports, presentations, or visual aids.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the IT team, assisting in developing analytical skills, business understanding, and SAP configuration.
• Utilize information systems to improve efficiency and advise on new system implementations or upgrades aligned with customer and company requirements.
• Work on blended project teams with web developers, software engineers, functional analysts, and business users to deliver projects supporting the company’s roadmap.
• Guide SAP module implementations using internal and external IT resources effectively.
• Conduct project-level analyses and produce concept communications and requirements analyses (including What If scenarios) to deliver solutions and user enhancements.
• Triage and troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, propose solutions, and manage vendor tickets as applicable.
• Prioritize changes and communicate status to the business; identify improvement opportunities related to SAP; conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
• Evaluate current business processes for inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions to improve customer satisfaction and align with business strategy.
• Negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders, maintaining ongoing communication about project results.
• Configure SAP functional modules and maintain configuration rationale documentation; comply with change management processes when moving configurations into production.
• Participate in SOX/GRC-related controls for SAP modules and may authorize use of SAP GRC firefighter accounts as needed.
• Establish and maintain liaison with business partners, IT, and third-party vendors; manage vendor SLAs and communicate concerns to management.
• Contribute to short- and long-term planning sessions and provide feedback to ensure understanding of business goals and strategy.
• Perform comprehensive system testing of enhancements, patches, and configuration changes; develop test plans and scripts and collaborate with developers during testing.
• Develop productivity tools and KPIs across multiple delivery methods and audiences; develop scripts and queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Act as a liaison between developers and the business to support reports and reporting tools; coordinate tests with third-party service providers.
• Understand the Company’s core business related to SAP modules and ensure customer satisfaction with application performance and end-user experience; collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
• Maintain communication with the user community about system updates or enhancements; facilitate new system integrations through configuration and testing.
• Mentor other analysts and assign/monitor work; assess business needs using a structured requirement process to identify priorities and options.
• Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional/technical specifications for solutions; maintain specifications in Solution Manager.
• Support and troubleshoot 24x7 SAP core batch process job failures; perform related duties as assigned; maintain regular attendance as an essential function of the job.
