Position: GLOBAL HR MANAGER

August Robotics is an international startup which builds application-specific robots to automate workflows for businesses. The company has offices on three different continents (USA, Germany, China/Hong Kong) and enjoys the support of some of Asia-Pacific's most prolific VC investors.

August Robotics aspires to be at the forefront of the coming "robotics revolution" and has several robotic product lines across different sectors of the economy. Our robots serve clients in the exhibition, construction and industrial layout industries, and we are currently growing our team all over the world.

THE ROLE

As Global HR Manager (ex-China), you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s global people strategy across its major offices in the USA, Europe and Australia. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership, you will be responsible for building scalable HR systems, fostering a positive and high-performing work culture, and ensuring the company has the right talent and structures in place to support its growth.

Your time will be allocated across three core responsibility areas:
Global HR Strategy & Planning, Recruitment & Talent Management, and HR Operations & Team Leadership.

  • Partner with the CEO to conceptualize, develop, and implement the company’s global HR strategy across the USA, Europe, and Australia.
  • Promote and maintain a positive, productive, and cohesive working environment across all regions.
RECRUITMENT & TALENT MANAGEMENT
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts across the USA, Europe, and Australia offices.
  • Develop and execute hiring strategies aligned with business needs and regional market conditions.
HR OPERATIONS &

TEAM LEADER SHIP
  • Manage and support a remote team of administrative and HR assistants.
  • Develop, update, and maintain company-wide HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across regions.
  • Travel internationally 2 - 3 times per year to visit company offices in Europe and/or Australia to support local teams and leadership.

ABOUT YOU

What we would like to see in an applicant:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in human resources
    , ideally with exposure to multiple HR functions such as recruiting, talent management, employee relations, HR strategy, company policies and organizational development.
  • Demonstrated proactivity, flexibility
    , and adaptability
    , with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally, partnering with senior leadership across multiple regions while implementing and refining HR systems and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and drive improvements independently.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • International outlook, openness to new cultures and excitement to work in other countries (especially Europe and Australia)
  • This role is based at our USA HQ in Las Vegas
    , and relocation to Las Vegas is required.

The following are helpful but not required for this role:

  • Fluency in spoken German.
  • Familiarity with global HR practices, cross-cultural communication, and international labor regulations.
  • Experience working in an international environment,
    ideally having lived or worked in Europe, the UK, or Australia
    .
  • Experience working in HR in a start-up
  • Experience growing teams quickly and with minimal culture disruption

This is a strategic HR role
, so engineering / technical / robotics qualifications are not required.

You should be comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the idea of working in an entrepreneurial culture. You should be open to learning new things
, and willing to jump in and lend a hand on a range of different issues when the need arises.
