Our client, a confidential Las Vegas–based casino and hospitality group, is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead the design, execution, and ongoing optimization of the company’s total rewards programs, ensuring they are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives and culture.
Role overview- Owns compensation strategy including base pay structures, pay bands, market benchmarking, and short- and long-term incentive programs.
- Oversees benefits administration, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leave programs, and related vendor relationships.
- Serves as the primary advisor to leadership on total rewards, providing insights and recommendations that support attraction, retention, and performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compensation structures, salary ranges, and job leveling to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Lead annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, promotions, and market adjustments, ensuring accurate planning, communication, and execution.
- Manage all benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and ancillary offerings), including renewals, plan design changes, and compliance.
- Conduct regular market analyses and benchmarking using relevant survey data to guide pay and benefits decisions.
- Partner with Finance and senior leadership to model the cost and impact of compensation and benefit program changes.
- Create clear policies, tools, and manager training to promote understanding and consistent application of compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including wage and hour, benefits, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, service levels, and escalations for all benefits providers and brokers.
- Use data and analytics to monitor program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., CCP, CBP, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
- Significant experience in compensation and benefits or total rewards, including hands‑on design and administration of programs in a growing organization.
- Strong knowledge of compensation methodologies, job evaluation, market pricing, and incentive plan design.
- Solid understanding of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, and related compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel and analytics skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and educate leaders at all levels.
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized, with strong follow‑through and ownership mindset.
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and building structure where needed.
- Collaborative team player who partners closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to deliver impactful total rewards solutions.
