Summary Statement

The Assistant Bartender is responsible for servicing the guests in a courteous and professional manner, while assisting bartenders throughout the course of business. This role ensures bar areas are always cleaned, organized and properly stocked with prepped ingredients.

Primary

Job Duties
  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area.
  • Ensure the bar is properly stocked with supplies necessary for service.
  • Replenish ice coolers, garnish trays, straws and napkins holders.
  • Ensure bar equipment and supplies are clean and in working order.
  • Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
  • Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Participate in in‑house modeling programs, special casino events, banquet service functions, marketing campaigns and advertising and perform model/presenter tasks.
  • Pose for pictures as requested by management, appear in uniform or designated (logo) apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • General knowledge of beverages including coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine and beer, with an emphasis on craft cocktails and mixology.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Ability to multitask and react quickly in times of need.
  • Team player attitude with a professional yet friendly personality.
Preferred
  • 6 months to a year of previous experience working in a fast‑paced bar setting.
  • 3‑6 months of previous experience working in a luxury or upscale lounge setting.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
