Overview
The primary responsibility of the Cabana Receptions is to make cabana reservations and welcome guests to the pool complex. Assist with any and all customer needs; maintain cleanliness of the pool deck (i.e., rafts, dirty towels and bathrooms). Upsell and book daybeds and cabanas. Engage in retail sales (i.e., raft, sundries, magazines and newspapers). Protect glass items and prevent unauthorized items from entering the pool complex.
Follow and maintain all SNHD rules and regulations.
- Make cabana reservations and upsell amenities for the pool.
- Greet guests and assist with customer needs; maintain cleanliness of the pool deck.
- Perform retail sales of items such as rafts, sundries, magazines and newspapers.
- Protect glass items and prevent unauthorized items from entering the pool complex.
- Follow and maintain all SNHD rules and regulations.
- Report for pre-shift briefing in full uniform.
- Familiarize themselves with guest names and requested accommodations.
- Ensure guests follow pool rules (e.g., diving board safety, running, horseplay).
- Remain alert to activity within their assigned section of the pool area and treat customers with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Remain groomed according to the department's appearance code and notify the manager immediately of any issues requiring extra attention (e.g., guest injury, guest–employee conflicts).
- Able to carry 25-40 lbs.
- Able to work in excessive heat for extended periods of time.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Beverage knowledge.
Fast-paced environment with multiple tasks to be handled under time constraints. Must be able to handle a heavy business volume and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems in a timely manner.
