Overview

Summary Statement: The Bar Porter position is a key function in ensuring the entire bar operation runs smoothly by constantly communicating with the bar staff and service team. This position is an integral part of the bar team and provides the bartenders with the essential tools and functionality to give our guests the exceptional service that they deserve. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary

Job Duties
  • Clean bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, drains, refrigerators, coolers and other bar appliances in accordance with Resorts World policies as well as the Clark County Health Standards.
  • Ensure all soda gun products, fruit garnishes and mixes meet service standards.
  • Maintain par levels to assigned bars with product and supplies and keep the assigned bars stocked with product and supplies throughout each scheduled shift.
  • Collect, unpack and distribute weekly and daily product orders from receiving and bring product to assigned bars.
  • Complete required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries.
  • Maintain floors and keeps them free of garbage or debris.
  • Ensure sanitation buckets are on job station, maintain proper sanitation solution and clean towels.
  • Remove trash from bars in a safe manner.
  • Maintain, organize and restock keg coolers, storage areas, liquor pump rooms and liquor storage areas.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proficient knowledge of beverages, glassware and garnishes.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in a high-volume nightclub or high-volume casino beverage environment.
  • Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma.
  • At least six months of previous experience as a Bar Porter, or similar role, in a similar or related field.
  • At least 21 years of age.
Preferred Education
  • Some college or formal secondary education.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Position required licenses.
