Summary Statement

The Assistant Bartender, Model, is responsible for assisting Model Bartenders in all operational duties. This position is key to ensuring guests have a satisfactory experience by maintaining clean bars, keeping the bar stocked with supplies, and providing excellent guest service. The model apprentice helps market the nightclub, restaurant, lounge, pool, and other services by engaging a targeted guest base while focusing on developing a personal clientele list.

The ideal candidate works efficiently and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service.

Primary

Job Duties
  • Greet, interact, entertain, and serve guests courteously and in a timely manner with an upbeat attitude.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to all inquiries, requests, directions, and information politely.
  • Assist the bartender by obtaining orders, organizing and prioritizing service, ensuring all orders are correct and special requests are met.
  • Follow drink recipes, garnish beverages as needed per company standards and recipes.
  • Stock and set up/breakdown the bar area daily.
  • Upsell guests by suggestively selling menu items, specials, and beverages.
  • Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business.
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during your shift.
  • Keep all work areas clean, free of dirty glass and ashtrays, and ensure all tables and chairs are set correctly; sweep, mop, wash, and sanitize bar mats, polish, wash glassware as needed.
  • Recognize when guests are intoxicated and alert the manager of disruptive guests; refuse further service of alcohol to overly intoxicated guests courteously.
  • Comply with safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws; ensure guests are of legal age.
  • Report incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations to management.
  • Participate in in‑house modeling programs, special casino events, banquet service functions, marketing campaigns, and advertising by performing model/presenter tasks.
  • Maintain social platforms as instructed; post events and communications to support marketing campaigns via social media.
  • Obtain and maintain position‑specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job‑related operational tasks and review company documents.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, beer, and mixed cocktails.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred
  • Modeling experience.
  • Experience working in a nightclub or day club.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum six months of previous beverage service experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • Alcohol Awareness Card
    • Food Handling Card
    • Non‑Gaming Card
Physical Demands
  • Work is typically performed in a restaurant/bar environment.
  • Must tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting/standing.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to comply with policies, procedures, memorandums, chemical labels (SDS), and other instructions.
