Position Overview
Butler (On‑Call) role at Venetian Meetings. The primary responsibility of the Butler is to provide exceptional service to The Venetian Resort guests in personal Butler/Valet and amenity services. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. This is a safety‑related position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Attend to service in the suites, Baccarat Salon, VIP Lounge and Paiza Club, including food and beverage service, restocking product, equipment and supplies.
- Work in an appropriate non‑hazardous manner, avoiding self‑injury and unsafe work methods.
- Respond to guest requests and answer questions about The Venetian Resort and Las Vegas; when necessary research answers and respond in an appropriate manner.
- Ensure that assigned areas comply with Clark County Health Codes.
- Practice all aspects of unmatched service standards.
- Escort guests from the front of the hotel to the suites and serve them as needed, including hotel tour, suite tour, explanation of services, unpacking, and packing luggage.
- Perform all services, duties and tasks as defined in SOPs.
- Record all pertinent data into guest profile.
- Attend to laundry, dry cleaning, ironing, mending and shoe polishing as needed.
- Record closed checks to SOPs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain work areas to The Venetian Resort standards.
- Run errands as assigned, including tickets, shopping, food products, deliveries and packages.
- Fulfill guests’ requests if they are safe, legal and economically sound.
- Provide a service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client or customer.
- Expedite clerical processing, perform a service, evaluate information and act upon information to complete tasks or assignments or activity.
- Provide service and expertise based on information keyed, gathered, studied, processed or reviewed.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
All The Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Minimum Qualifications- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Driver’s License, Alcohol Awareness Card, Health Card, Non‑Gaming Card, and any other certification or license as required by law or policy.
- 5+ years of experience in a first‑class hotel, casino, restaurant or related hospitality industry.
- Advanced understanding of food and beverage service skills including in‑suite dining and wine and spirits knowledge.
- Experience with point‑of‑sale equipment and/or computers.
- Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guests’ needs.
- Excellent professional presentation and grooming.
- Ability to work in a high‑stress area, making clear, concise decisions based on sound business parameters.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Speak one additional language to English;
Mandarin dialect is highly desirable. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel for prolonged periods of time.
- Work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
