Role: The Concierge serves as a liaison between hotel guests and public/hotel operations. The Concierge assists guests with requests to the highest level of satisfaction, provides opinions/advice on local attractions, adheres to all company, safety, and department policies and procedures, fosters teamwork, provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed expectations, and builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
Pay range: $18.00/hr - $18.00/hr (based on skills and experience). This range is provided by JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa.
SKILLS/
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be literate and able to communicate in English.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Minimum two years college education preferred.
- Must have a minimum of one year experience in a service‑oriented job.
- Must possess basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, e‑mail).
- Must be knowledgeable of surrounding area to recommend activities.
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Health Card and TAM Card
MAJOR
JOB DUTIES:
- Handle and assist guest requests and questions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with transportation and show bookings.
- Review daily events.
- Answer phone calls in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Maintain an accurate log of all guest requests.
- Make reservations and book off‑site activities (jeep tours, ballooning, horseback riding, show tickets, etc.).
- Perform all job‑related duties as assigned.

Work is performed in an office environment and in other locations throughout the property. Must tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.

- Requires ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
- Ability to and comply with policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
