Overview
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day framework required to plan, coordinate, and execute a project. The Project Coordinator will ensure all aspects of the project run smoothly and efficiently to ensure project goals and deliverables are met. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, leadership, staff, and applicable support departments to ensure the successful completion of the assigned project.
This position also collaborates with new providers during the initial onboarding to ensure optimal integration into IPM. The Project Coordinator must be able to communicate across a wide spectrum of audiences, lead change initiatives, and have strong organizational and problem-solving skills. This individual must be able to function effectively with multiple priorities and will provide administrative and communication support to the Project Manager.
This role is located at the Northern Nevada Medical Group administrative office in Sparks, NV, and additionally provides support to the Las Vegas Medical Group/Valley Health Physician Alliance.
- Proactively coordinates assigned project progress and timelines to ensure project goals and deliverables are met. Coordinates day-to-day project tasks. Manages project management documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule, or scope as directed by the Project Manager. Conducts post-project implementation reviews to identify successes and opportunities for future projects. Schedules stakeholder meetings and facilitates communication between the project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinates with local leadership, new providers, and corporate members of the onboarding team to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Produces preliminary materials for internal and external dissemination and review as directed by the Project Manager. Participates in presentations as needed.
- Coordinates strategic short-range onboarding processes to support the organization's and practice's goals. Leads Market Transition Calls and maintains weekly reporting on the status of providers onboarding/off-boarding, in collaboration with the Contract Coordinator.
- Submits Capital Appropriation, Project Authorization, and Cost requests and coordinates the delivery or installation of capital purchases.
- Provides administrative support to the Project Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned/required.
- Education:
Associate’s degree in business or healthcare-related field is required. A bachelor’s degree or professional certification in project coordination is preferred. - Work Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative or executive assistant experience in a healthcare environment is required. 3-5 years is preferred.
