The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is looking for a Counselor to join our team. We are a private, faith-based organization that serves our community by offering a safe place for adult men and women to break the cycle of homelessness and/or addiction. The Counselor position is for a Residential level of care. They will maintain a case load of 15-25 clients, facilitate weekly individual and group sessions as assigned, utilize appropriate screenings, complete full biopsychosocials with DSM 5 diagnosis and ASAM Placement Criteria, initiate treatment plans with updated monthly assessments, initiate discharge planning, and work with case management throughout treatment.

• Minimum:
  Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program that is accredited
• Preferred: CADC, LADC, Intern Status, or able to qualify for internship through the State Board
• Previous Experience Working With Vulnerable Populations Required

• HMIS Data Entry/EHR experience
• Experience using Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Crisis Intervention / de-escalation
• Group Facilitation
• Motivational Interviewing / Person Centered Practices
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with LVRM employment policies and standards
• Willing to be accountable and receive correction
• Excellent verbal, written interpersonal and organizational skills
