Overview
The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Medical Assistant in the Federally Qualified Health Center Division. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill future vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.
The current vacancy is in the Sexual Health Clinic in the Federally Qualified Health Center Division; however the list may be used to fill future vacancies throughout the District.
This recruitment will close on or before the date listed above, once a sufficient number of qualified applications have been identified.
All new hires will have a starting salary of $22.74 per hour which is non-negotiable.
To perform a variety of duties involved in providing patient care and clinic services and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
To familiarize yourself with the position and its physical requirements.
Education and Training- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- Medical office or clinic experience is preferred
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid Nevada Driver’s license within 90 days
- Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants preferred but not required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Prior primary care setting experience preferred
