Description
The Hospital Rounding & Workflow Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting daily hospital operations by ensuring accurate patient census management, seamless provider assignment, and continuity of care across facilities. This position works closely with providers and operational leaders to manage rounding workflows, on-call transitions, and system data integrity using Hybrid Chart and athena
One. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing high-volume workflows in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Manage rounding workflows, on-call transitions, and census continuity across facilities in collaboration with providers and operational leaders.
- Ensure data integrity within systems (Hybrid Chart and athena
One) to support accurate patient census and provider assignment. - Coordinate high-volume workflows in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2–3 years of experience in healthcare operations, hospital workflow coordination, or a related role
- Experience working with healthcare technology platforms required
- EMR experience required (athena
One experience strongly preferred) - Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- Comfort working in multiple systems simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive workflows
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Understanding of hospital rounding workflows
- Familiarity with provider on-call models
- Ability to manage and maintain census continuity across multiple hospitals
- Awareness of clinical operations and provider workflow dependencies
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for computer-based work
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
